Ana Izabel Miranda Rodrigues
Biography
Ana Izabel Miranda Rodrigues (Lisbon, 1951), lives and works in Lisbon. In her academic career she studied Equipment and Design at IADE (1970-1074) and Textile Design at AR.Co, in Lisbon (1973). In 1973 (1973-1975) she works with the Atelier of Flávia Monsaraz where she studies Tapestry. Finally in 1990 at the Atelier Contacto Directo she continues her jewellery studies. She was awarded a scholarship by Gulbenkian in Paris (1984 – 1986). Exhibits regularly since 1989 with works ranging from tapestry, weaving, jewellery, painting, photography and others.
Her work is present in numerous private and institutional collections such as the Caixa Geral de Depósitos collection, the EDP Foundation’s Portuguese Art Collection and the State Contemporary Art Collection (CACE).
