A CURVA DA ESTRADA – Z. L. Darocha and Nuno Ramalho

“A Curva da Estrada” (“The turn of the Road”) brings together, on two different floors of the Gallery, two artists who have in common with the writer Ferreira de Castro, author of the book from which the title was borrowed, the fact that they were born in Oliveira de Azeméis.

Darocha, whose “Drawings of the 80’s” are presented on the second floor, was born in 1945, but soon left for France where he lived and died in 2016, always maintaining contact with Portugal, having participated in the “Alternative Zero”, organized by Ernesto de Sousa. We show drawings of great beauty, created in an extremely fruitful time.

Nuno Ramalho, who was born in 1975 and has exhibited regularly, namely at Graça Brandão Gallery, presents the exhibition “Drawings and…”, recreating a work made on the gallery floor, first presented at CANVAS in Porto, in 2003. Other works of her
of his authorship will be shown.
